Dr Adam Liedloff - B.App.Sc.(Hons), PhD
Research Scientist (ecological modelling)

Adam is currently working with the Division of Sustainable Ecosystems as part of a range of Tropical Savanna Management CRC projects. This involves developing an Australian version of the SAVANNA computer model (Coughenour, 1993) to study the impacts of fire and grazing on the tropical savannas. Along with Garry Cook, Adam has developed the FLAMES simulation model of the impact of rainfall variability and fire management on tree dynamics in savannas.

Dr Liedloff is a graduate of Queensland University of Technology where he completed a Bachelor of Applied Science with Honours in Ecology and was awarded a PhD for research on habitat utilisation of native rodents in a coastal heathland of South east Queensland (2000). Prior to joining CSIRO in 1999 he was an Associate Lecturer in Ecology at QUT.

Adam also provides programing support for TERC, has developed the TERC website, performs photographic services and has developed a number of other scientific applications such as the Leakiness Index Calculator and Mantel non-paremtemtric test Calculator.
