Research Project Fire Research and Education at the Territory Wildlife Park
Title The effects of wallaby grazing and fire on the survival of tree seedlings during the late-wet-early dry season in tropical savannas.
Description Planting and growing seedlings in grazed and ungrazed plots at the TWP fire experiment, measuring growth, level of herbivory (grazing) and survival of seedlings. Recording and analysing data. Helping with a survey of the wallaby population to assess population size.
Research Scientist Leigh Hunt
Student J. Germain-Fandre
University ISARA Lyon (France)

Research Project Fire Research and Education at the Territory Wildlife Park
Title The effects of wallaby grazing and post-fire effects on the survival of tree seedlings during the late dry season in tropical savannas.
Description Planting and growing seedlings in grazed and ungrazed plots at the TWP fire experiment, measuring growth, level of herbivory (grazing) and survival of seedlings. Recording and analysing data. Helping with a survey of the wallaby population to assess population size.

Research Project Fire Research and Education at the Territory Wildlife Park
Title The effect of prescribed fire treatments on flowering and fruiting in mid-storey woody species in tropical savannas.
Description Conducting regular surveys of the abundance of flowers and fruits on woody shrubs and small trees on different prescribed fire treatments at the TWP. Mapping shrub and tree locations, estimating canopy volume, data recording and analysis. Helping with a survey of the wallaby population to assess population size.
